Est. 1901
During the 1920’s the Engels and Superior Mines were the largest copper producers in California. A century-old mine with confirmed copper, silver, and gold reserves - ready for a capitalized partner to bring back online.
Since the 1950’s the Company has leased its land to exploration and/or drilling companies to quantify the copper, gold, and silver that could be mined now or in the future by a partner or larger mining company.
Based on a recent PEA performed by US Copper Company, the California-Engels deposit shows approximately an NI 43-101 compliant copper resource of 18 million tons at 0.46% Cu Indicated and 10 million tons at 0.38% Cu Inferred.
In addition to its mineral resources, California-Engels has cultivated a tree farm on its property. On June 17,1999 “Engelmine Forest” was accepted by American Tree Farm System as California Tree Farm No. 2611. The Company’s Non-Industrial Timber Management Plan (NTMP) was approved by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection on July 2, 1999.
