California-Engels Mining Company announces with deep sadness the passing of its President, Norman Lamb, whose distinguished career and steadfast leadership helped guide the company for nearly five decades. 

Mr. Lamb began his involvement with the company as a shareholder and, in 1978, became Vice President and Director before later serving as President. Throughout his more than 48 years of leadership, he focused on the long-term strength and continuity of the company. 

Under his guidance, Engels advanced initiatives intended to support the company’s future, including the establishment of the Engelmine Tree Farm. Mr. Lamb’s commitment to responsible land stewardship earned recognition when he was named Tree Farmer of the Year in 2011. He also worked with various mining companies to secure lease agreements that served the company’s best interests. 

Vice President Katherine Lamb will help guide California Engels Mining Company during this transition period until a new CEO is selected.
